About Us

In 1993, the share capital of the original Coax Connectors Limited, company number 1864993 was purchased by James Robinson, and the company continued to supply the connector industry with a wide range of BNC, TNC, SMA, N-Type, MCX, MMCX, FEM, F-Type, UHF, Mini UHF, SMB and Twinax RF Connectors and Adaptors. Initially formed in 1984, it operated from Sandycombe Road, Richmond but relocated to Lower Mortlake Road, Richmond in 2001 to cope with expansion. Our policy was and is to supply quality connectors at very keen pricing. The original Coax Connectors Ltd merged into the public company Coax PLC trading as Coax Connectors in 1991.

The business continued to grow and introduce new products. However, in the Spring of 2005 we received a substantial offer for our Lower Mortlake Road, Richmond premises. The timescale for this was very tight so it was decided to sell part of our business and goodwill. On 27th May 2005 the sale took place along with a dormant company we owned called Coax Connectors Ltd (company number 4336077) which had never traded.  We agreed not to supply the connector industry direct for two years until 1st June 2007 and change our name to Robinson Connectors to avoid confusion.  Whilst we did initially supply Coax Connectors Ltd with stock, this arrangement ceased late in 2006 and there is now no connection between Robinsons and Coax Connectors.  We are now competitors in what has become a tight market.

Our other company Marton Electronics was integrated with Robinson Connectors again in June 2007, cutting out duplication and keeping overhead costs to a minimum.  We now only supply the Robinson brand of quality connectors which are of consistent quality and reliability.  Robinson connectors are only available from us.

Where to the future? When we were at Richmond our stock profile was the widest in the UK so we could give next day delivery on virtually any type of connector. Our product profile is now being revised to suit the needs of today as can be seen from our Catalogue. Our costs for quality connectors have always been unbeatable and will remain so. We do not source connectors from mainland China as they do not meet our quality standards. New services include our once a month container service direct from our factory providing reliability and regularity with even lower cost levels. And to cover those sudden unexpected needs our new express service can often supply direct from the factory cover in just a few days.

So whenever you require connectors remember Robinsons and benefit from over 25 years of direct cost saving hassle free expertise.
